The sculptural forms are inspired by the modern free spirited art, which interested Finn Juhl very much.VISUAL LIGHTNESS
Three colored trays hang like a floating, individual element under the light steel construction of the table - a typical example of how Finn Juhl separated the elements in order to create a visual lightness.FUNCTIONAL ELEGANCE
A stylistic maverick, Juhl embraced expressive, free-flowing shapes in chair and sofa designs much earlier than his colleagues, yet even his quietest pieces incorporate supple, curving forms that are at once elegant and ergonomic.
DENMARK (January 30, 1912 - May 17, 1989) When you look at the graceful shapes and sensual curves of Finn Juhl's work, you may be shocked to realize that he designed these pieces 60 to 70 years ago. A pioneering force in his own country, Juhl felt that furniture, handicraft and art should create a completeness of the house, which in his case was decorated with works of the Danish painters of the time.
