Crafted with great care and unassuming brilliance, the ingenious lamps of Serge Mouille are innately captivating and timeless.FUNCTIONAL ODDITY
This almost alien-looking lamp is an ideal choice for those looking to add bedside lighting to their minimalist bedrooms. Taking up barely any space, the sconce spreads out its 3 wafer-thin extensions that can be moved around with ease.VERSATILE BEAUTY
Painting a truly spectacular visual, the grand ceiling lights in the collection are an instant focal point in any room. Thanks to the flexible heads and arms, you can switch between ambient and focused lighting with ease, and a single fixture can serve you in more ways than one.BOLD SIMPLICITY
Serge Mouille designed his angular lights as a reaction to heavier, clunkier Italian designs of the time. This sconce is as much a work of art as it is a source of illumination, making it an evocative style statement.
FRANCE (December 24, 1922 - 1988) Known primarily for his work as a designer of lighting fixtures, Serge Mouille (1922-1988) received a master silversmith diploma from the School of Applied Arts in Paris. He studied with silversmith and sculptor Gilbert LaCroix and, after graduation in 1941, went to work in his studio. Throughout the 1950s Mouille designed large, angular, insect-like wall mounted and standing lamps with several arms and smaller, more curved wall-sconces. He worked to achieve a kinetic, sculptural aesthetic that evoked a sense of movement in space.
