Indeed the 46 Sofa is a "body for the body" This "bone" alone is capable of accommodating 2 people who become one organic unit. The artistic license of Finn Juhl at the time was highly criticized as some critics called his furniture "tired walruses" scornfully.

Viewed by the standards of today, the 46 Sofa is a comfortable and cozy addition to any type of interior-both traditional and modern. Masterfully made, the sofa consists of a strong wooden frame with springs in the cushion and absolutely hand-sewn upholstery. It comes in fabric or leather with legs coated in oak, walnut, or black.

DENMARK (January 30, 1912 - May 17, 1989) When you look at the graceful shapes and sensual curves of Finn Juhl's work, you may be shocked to realize that he designed these pieces 60 to 70 years ago. A pioneering force in his own country, Juhl felt that furniture, handicraft and art should create a completeness of the house, which in his case was decorated with works of the Danish painters of the time.
