Description
The consummate modernist chandelier, Poul Henningsen’s Artichoke Lamp is composed of layers of overlapping “leaves” that produce crisp, glare-free 360-degree light. The Artichoke is aptly suited to a dining room, entryway or reception desk.
FUNCTIONAL UNIQUENESSThe unique rows of leaves illuminate the fixture as well as emitting diffused light with a unique pattern. The fixture provides decorative and comfortable lighting. Even at the energy saving LED variant the quality of light and atmosphere surrounding the product is kept at the highest level.
ICONIC CLASSICThe Artichoke Lamp was designed in 1958 for the Langelinie Pavillonen restaurant in Copenhagen, where it still hangs today. The Artichoke has a world–famous unique sculptural aesthetic, and is viewed internationally as an iconic design.
BACKED BY SCIENCEThe Artichoke's design was carefully based on scientific analysis of a lamp shade’s function. The goal of even distribution of light and reduction of glare determined the size, shape and position of the shades.
